Supervisor required for five days (30 hours) 9:15 am – 3:15 pm. Variable day off and expected to work two Saturdays every four weeks. Five weeks holiday, two weeks to be taken when cafe is closed in August. Pay rate per shift open to negotiation and generally increased annually. It is an advantage if the person applying has some previous catering experience but not essential.  The new supervisor should be interested in food and have the skills to produce tasty, fresh and interesting light meals. Duties include ordering supplies, managing other staff and volunteers, fulfilling a regular cleaning schedule. The cafe has been operating for 23 years and has during this time met the catering needs of individuals as well as groups who visit the cafe and hire rooms in the building. The cafe is part of the community activities of Dagnall Street Baptist Church.  The person appointed should be supportive of our Christian basis but need not be formally connected to a church.
